The Asian Media Awards

I am seriously behind with sharing a lot of news. Let’s get the ball rolling like John Arne Riise again. No? I mentioned him before?

Fine… we’ll go with Steven Gerrard on this occasion. WHAT A HIT SON, WHAT A HIT. Yes, you know which goal I’m talking about. Amazing commentary from Martin Tyler and Andy Gray. I never get bored of watching that goal over and over again. It really is up there with the very best. You rarely see a moment like that where a goal carries so much value, inspiring the team to Champions League glory. I was fourteen when Liverpool beat AC Milan in Istanbul. A story to pass down to future generations. A story that teaches you to keep fighting until the end, even when you’re up against it. The determination and willpower to achieve greatness. Anyway, I digress…

On Monday 30th September 2013, I was one of five individuals in the UK invited to attend the finalists launch of the Asian Media Awards at City Hall, London. Hosted by presenter and broadcaster Lisa Aziz, the nation’s leading media professionals witnessed the announcement of this year’s full list of nominees. It was a great opportunity to be introduced directly to media owners, editors and producers. I would like to thank Umbreen Ali and the rest of the Asian Media Awards team for inviting me to this event. It was a privilege to be there and I really enjoyed it! The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 31st October 2013 in Manchester.
